Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the Behavioral Health unit, as directed by nursing management.
Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department and Behavioral Health unit, regulatory agencies and professional organizations.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise.

The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.
Line responsibility to the Director, Behavioral Health Services or designee.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Graduate of professional accredited nursing school required.

Experience

Previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.

Licensure and/or Certification

Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.

BLS Healthcare provider required.

CPI achieved within 3 months of hire required.

Skills

Basic nursing skills and assessment skills required.

Must have strong communication skills.

Critical thinking skills required.

Strong organizational skills.

Computer skills and proficiency.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Ability to protect confidential information.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
