Work Opportunities Unlimited is seeking enthusiastic individuals for rewarding careers on our career services team in the Concord area. The coverage territory will include Concord, Lowell and Acton and surrounding areas.
Founded in 1982, Work Opportunities Unlimited is a community-based Human Service Organization that specializes in assisting those with barriers to find employment opportunities.
Our Youth Career Resource Specialists handle a variety of roles: helping clients consisting of primarily high school students with special needs and at-risk youth to develop career goals, teaching pre-vocational and job retention skills, providing life skills training, and coaching our clients to help them maximize success.
This position also requires networking within the community, generating and cultivating strong relationships with local businesses and developing partnerships with employers to secure community-based, long-term employment for our diverse roster of clients.
Successful candidates must be:
Passionate about helping others and making a difference within the community
Compassionate, energetic, enthusiastic and able to motivate others
Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Flexible and able to manage an ever-changing caseload
Excellent communicators - both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and autonomously
Strong networkers, who can effectively and confidently build relationships and galvanize community partnerships with local businesses
Requirements:
Human Service Skills / Youth experience preferred
Bachelors degree is required
Valid drivers license and proof of automobile insurance is also required

This is a Part-Time position (approximately 20 hours per week) that requires a Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM availability. Morning hours may become available in the future.
This is a community-based position. Travel in and around the Concord, Lowell, Acton and surrounding areas is required for this position.
The chosen candidate will also be required to submit to criminal background and motor vehicle record checks that must meet company standards.
