Job Summary:
The Executive Director serves is responsible for the success of Emerson Hospital Home Care. The Executive Director assures Emerson Hospital Home Care's relevance to the community, the accomplishment of the mission and vision, and the accountability to its diverse constituents.
Job Functions:
Legal compliance:
a) Assures compliance with all relevant Federal/State laws and regulations, as well as Joint Commission standards for Home Care.
Mission, policy, and planning:
a) Develops short and long term agency strategic goals and objectives.
b) Continually monitors and evaluates effectiveness of work plan in achieving goals and objectives
c) Assures that the agency fulfills its vision/mission.
d) Keeps the hospital executive team informed on the status of Emerson Hospital Home Care and on all factors influencing its operations.
• Identifies issues and opportunities and addresses them timely.
• Keeps the hospital informed of trends, issues, and policy changes.
e) Keeps abreast of industry trends to facilitate effective agency management.
Management and administration:
a) Provides general oversight of all Emerson Hospital Home Care activities, manages the strategic operations, assures that the day-to-day operations are effectively managed, and assures a smooth functioning, efficient organization.
b) Assures program quality and organizational stability through development and implementation of standards and controls, systems and procedures, and regular evaluation.
c) Assures a work environment that recruits, retains, and supports quality staff and volunteers. Assures process for selecting, development, motivating, and evaluating staff and volunteers.
d) Recommends staffing and financing to the hospital executive team.
e) Specifies accountabilities for all homecare staff and oversees the timely evaluation of performance.
Finance:
a) Oversees all fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
b) Promotes programs and services that are produced in a cost-effective manner, employing economy while maintaining an acceptable level of quality.
c) Works with hospital executive team to ensure financing to support short and long term goals.
Marketing/Community Relations:
a) Facilitates the integration of Emerson Hospital Home Care into the community by using effective marketing and communications activities.
b) Acts as an advocate within the public and private sectors for issues relevant to Emerson Hospital Home Care.
c) Assures community awareness of Emerson Hospital Home Care.
d) Serves as chief spokesperson for Emerson Hospital Home Care, assuring proper representation.
e) Initiates, develops, and maintains cooperative relationships with key constituencies.
f) Works with legislators, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to promote legislative and regulatory policies that encourage a healthy community.
Hospital Integration:
a) Represents the Home Care Department at all Hospital functions and activities
b) Works together with the Hospital Executive Team in strategic initiatives that integrate post- acute care.
c) Represents the department on all assigned committees.
Requirements:
A Master's Degree in health care or business administration with a minimum of 10 years experience in a management level position. Demonstrates critical competencies in four broad categories: commitment to results, business savvy, leading change, and motivating.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
