Job Summary
The ET Nurse will report to the Homecare Nursing Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include the assessment, care plan development, treatment, and coordination of care of the home care patients with ostomy, skin and/or wound care needs. The ET Nurse will work closely with nursing staff, other hospital departments, physicians and other educators, throughout Emerson Health System as well as agencies and resources used in the continuum of patient care. The ET Nurse will also work as a resource and provide education to other homecare staff.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education
    • BS in Nursing required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of three (3) years Medical/Surgical Nursing background, expertise in working with ostomy, skin and wound care patient needs
    • Homecare experience preferred
  • Licensure and/or Certification
    • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License, current Board Certification in Enterostomal Therapy, current BLS certification, professional membership in field
  • Skills
    • Displays good communication, written, telephone and organizational skills

    • Team oriented

    • Able to problem solve within the scope of the role
    • Working knowledge of hospital and health system policies and procedures

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
