We Are the Engineering Team We are looking for 2 talented and experienced Senior JavaScript Developers to join our Engineering Team.  We enjoy collaborating and have an undying passion for building great products that touch the lives of students and educators worldwide. Reporting to the Director of EL, these roles will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders (i.e. fellow engineers, designers, and educators) to create our next generation student learning products that are operable across multiple devices and that will delight our students. Essential Job Functions: Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and robust code. Interact with educators and UI/UX teams to quickly prototype and build out products. Participate in and help lead design and code reviews. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical: Strong command of JavaScript ES6, HTML5, and CSS3 Experience with React or Experience with other JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Backbone, etc and substantial Single Page Applications. Knowledge of Node, NPM, React, Lodash, Babel, promises, Jest. Knowledge of TypeScript or Flow. Experience writing unit tests or TDD. Understanding of OOP, functional reactive programming, Redux, and RxJs. Knowledge of iOS (Swift) or Android (Java) or ReactNative or mobile-oriented web applications (e.g. responsive design, Ionic, Cordova). Experience with automated speech recognition. Experience with animation. Experience working in an agile development environment. Experience with MacOS, bash, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git Other: 5+ years of experience building web applications. BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation on all devices. Unmistakable passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces. Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for all components. Passion for producing clean, maintainable, robust, and well-tested code Passion for education and language learning preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
