Site Reliability Engineer

SmashFly Technologies is searching for talented, driven, self-motivated Site Reliability Engineer, any level of experience, to join our team in Concord. You'd be helping us as we build out the technology to help the world find work. Brands you interact with every day use SmashFly to hire with purpose. We're looking for someone who can come in and work with engineering teams and operations as we move to Containerize/ "PaaS-ify" and properly architect our .NET/ SQL SaaS platform. Ideally, you'll understand what it takes to build a failure resistant, repeatable, distributed architecture.   Have you helped to build and managed large infrastructure deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google for a global 24x7 SaaS platform? Are you interested in (maybe even an expert at) tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Grafana, or Kubernetes? Do you understand how important having robust monitoring and logging are to uptime and availability?  How about knowing how important infrastructure as code is and that repeatability is key?  Things you'll do:  Participate in an Agile Scrum team Analyze and deliver cloud solutions Create and maintain tools and interfaces to drive SmashFly's reliability and quality Identify and evangelize best practices for continuous delivery Promote and demonstrate best practices for Engineering and Operations teams using public cloud providers Assist Engineering and Operations as we refactor software to be cloud native and/ or containerized on Kubernetes Help build and release SmashFly software Essential Criteria: Experience with Azure, AWS, Google or other Cloud delivery platforms beyond just virtual machines.   Significant experience operating and supporting .NET applications on Windows Server/ IIS  Experience with Linux servers (we use CentOS/ Redhat 7) especially around hosting Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and nginx Understanding of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or ARM Experience working with at least 1 scriptinglanguage, PowerShell, Bash, Python or Ruby Experience using Git Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desired Criteria: Experience with Microsoft Release Manager 2017 and/ or Azure DevOps Experience with Agile development methodologies Experience with email delivery systems Knowledge of SQL Server systems Experience with Atlassian collaboration tools Understanding of cloud networking and load balancing Deep experience in one or more Cloud Providers, we're talking about platform and API services, not just VMs. Things like App Services, SQL PaaS, API Manager, AKS, Redis, Azure AD from Azure or GKE, Cloud Functions, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Apigee from Google Cloud. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
